He is a revolutionary man. The tsunami is a force of nature. This is their story.
Many years ago in the land of eternal spring, surrounded by snow capped mountains and quilted lands, Che has his first encounter with the tsunami, although at that time, she was merely a current beneath the sea.
Upon their introduction, their relationship began awkwardly. He did not speak the language of the ocean, and she did not speak the language of revolution. But communication, they learned, comes not only from our mouth, but often from our hearts and even our bodies. Their first conversations were marked with misunderstanding and the inability to communicate one idea to the other. Yet, in time they began to learn the basics of each other's vernacular. As she learned to see and understand the fire of revolution in his eyes, he began to comprehend the force of her undertow.
As they would walk along the sandy beaches together, he would leave footsteps of times together, and she could only erase them. In time he learned to walk further from the budding tsunami, just to save some semblance of their memories. He would long to touch her and run toward her shore, but she was fickle. She would rush to wards him and in the blink of an eye turn and flea the other way. He tried to swim in her, but the current was to strong, and he would not drown just to appease her.
Eventually, the revolutionary man left her shore in search of higher land. A land of refuge and many mountains. The tsunami traveled to another land, gaining speed and power. She was not considered a mere undertow anymore. He in turn was living the life of man tormented with idealistic dreams, sedating himself with the fruit of the land. The tsunami begins to show her force, toppling boats full of men who meet their demise in her hands.
Next: They meet again.
